The base of this cute mini pillbox hat is hand blocked of lightweight buckram and covered in navy satin then covered again in a vintage open weave straw from Switzerland. Super Mother of the bride or groom hat.

It is decorated with navy and white polka-dot crin formed into a unique combination of bow and double rolled roses with loops.

These decorations were crafted from high quality vintage Swiss crin from the 1950s using the techniques shown in my book "Creating with Crin" which is also sold in my store.

This hat has lots of texture so be sure to use the zoom feature.

The hat is held onto the head with an elastic band that goes around the back of the head by the neck and can be further secured with hairpins.

Because the hat is secured with an elastic band, the hat can be in any position that is flattering to the wearer.

Fits most sizes but would look best on slightly smaller headsizes.
