This Beautiful reproduction of a Victorian / Edwardian straw bonnet is all hand formed and hand sewn. The bonnet is made from a vintage green straw hood and hand blocked into the bonnet shape.

The bonnet is trimmed with vintage ribbon accents around the crown, vintage lace around the under brim and back, and vintage silk ruching in shades of green, yellow, and gold . The bonnet is held onto the head with wide vintage pale yellow ribbons. The bow at the top of the bonnet is accented in the center with a vintage rhinestone buckle brooch with a silk ribbon insert that matches the trim on the brim.

The under-brim is crafted from a beautiful vintage lace. The brim edge is trimmed with a lovely delicate vintage silk rushed ribbon trim. This same lace and trim decorates the back of the bonnet. The lining is a silk satin.

The headsize opening is 22 1/4" however this can be used to fit the head OR used to sit on the back of the head and held on with the ribbon ties. It would comfortably fit a headsize of 21" to 23" ***NOTE: If used for a younger person it should sit onto the head so use head size opening as a guide. The model is a size 22" There is also a comb to help secure it to the head.
