This is a special occasion or cocktail hat. The colors are a vibrant blue and bright metallic gold. This would be a great Mother-of-the-Bride/Groom hat.

The shape is of classic retro styling and made from buckram. The buckram is covered in blue silk and then covered again in French designer lace. The design of the lace fits the shape of the hat beautifully.

The brim is edged in blue velvet and metallic gold braid. This gold braid also acts as a design accent for the shape of the back. (see insert)

The hat is accessorized with large gold leaves, matching lace leaves, and blue and gold flowers, all of which are hand made.
