A striking piece that is very hard to do justice in a photo.

Double brim parisisal straw in black & beige. Edged in black petersham and braid for added interest . Offset on the top and underside with bunches of red chilli's. Sits on a lined sinamay base and secures with a handmade tulle covered headband and elastic.

Interesting tidbits:

1. I had a can of beige spray paint mixed to perfectly match the colour of the dress and then hand sprayed the bottom pari to match.
2. There is over 15 metres of hand stitching just in the finishes on the edges of the two brims.
3. Janice made it through to the semi-finals in the Myer FOTF at Flemington on Melb. Cup Day. Her friends coaxed her into entering.
