I Love Hats Because?: I think everyone should wear a hat, your not fully dressed without one. I find my whole persona changes and my confidence is renewed. There should be a lot more on the catwalks and the fashion industries should do more to promote them I know the younger people would love to wear hats but they need to be encouraged by the designers
About Me: I'm a trained florist, I also make fab wedding cakes, after a very difficult year I decided I needed to do something completely different, I don't know why I thought of hats, but first I'll tell you a story maybe it will explain a lot. When I left school at fifteen there where plenty of jobs to be had, I was creative, my teacher managed to get me a interview with a very well known milliners in the bluecoat chambers Liverpool and I was very lucky to get the job as an apprentice, but I wasn't allowed to start for 6 weeks, when I told my mother she wasn't very happy and (money must have been tight)she told me to find another job where I could start work right away that was the start of my career as a milliner and the end untill now. Out of the blue one day it came to me I should have started my working life off as a milliner maybe I'll finish it as one. Joan
