I love that you aren't limited in what you can use to make a hat. You can turn just about anything into headwear. I am really enjoying using unusual materials.
It's also great fun to see someone's face light up when they pick up or put on something that you have made, and you know that they really love it.
Hi! Karen, can I ask when you block your buttons with sinamay do you wire them and then sew petersham to cover the wire and the rough edge of sinamay underneath? I have done a lot in felt and find it easy to stich the petersham or velvet but I find the sinamay harder. Any tips? Shelagh
