Who was your inspiration to become a milliner??? In January of 2011, I was still shell shocked from being laid off from my job a month before. There was news footage of Prince William's "new fiancée" (now princess Kate)  christening a ship in a Naval Yard in Wales. She was wearing a feather pad  with a military crest pin. I saw that and thought " I can make that."

Even though I still have not seen anybody else's hand made hats in person, the quality of my hats has steadily increased. If by some strange miracle l ever get to meet the Princess, (Fat chance I know) I will tell her that she was the person who inspired me to become a milliner.
