Hat-designer to the stars, Stephen Jones OBE, will showcase his iconic millinery in the English-themed Emirates Marquee this Melbourne Cup Carnival.
The British milliner will be a special guest of the VRC’s Principal Partner, Emirates, on AAMI Victoria Derby Day, Emirates Melbourne Cup Day and Crown Oaks Day.
Jones will unveil a show stopping display of iconic headwear from throughout his distinguished career.
“I am really looking forward to coming back to Melbourne and being a part of all the excitement and glamour of the Melbourne Cup Carnival – Melbourne really is the place to be for all things racing and fashion,” he said.
“My selection of headwear, handpicked for display in the Emirates Marquee, really is a fun representation of some of my key pieces, shipped over especially from my workshop in Covent Garden, London.”
Jones has designed for the Royal family, as well as celebrities including Beyonce, Rihanna, Kylie Minogue, Madonna, Dita Von Teese, Mick Jagger and Nicole Kidman.
He is considered one of the world's most radical and important milliners of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, having created hats for the catwalk shows of many leading couturiers and fashion designers, including John Galliano at Dior and Vivienne Westwood.
