French Flower Making first attempts

I'm loving the French Flower Making classes, and tonight I finished my first rose in pale pink silk georgette stiffened with gelatine. It's not perfect by any stretch but I'm really happy with it as a first attempt! Thanks for the wonderful class.

May I ask how you stiffen fabric using gelatine? Is this just ordinary cooking powder stuff?
Your flower looks amazing when you think how soft silk georgette is!

I think it's so delicate and has a nice glow to it. Now, this is inspiration to start mine in a few minutes!!! Great goins!! Make more.
