I have been offered the great chance to collaborate with a fashion designer for a runway show, making bespoke hats for the garments. Discussing how this would work, the suggestion has been that all hats (several designs) for the show will run under a collaborative label mentioning both names and profits will be shared 50/50 on sale - costs remain mine until item may be sold. Having not done this before I was wondering if anyone has experience in this and what a fair deal would be? My hat designs will be under both names and I will only get a return on investment if a hat sells at present...

I appreciate there is a level of how well am I and the fashion designer known that will have to be taken into consideration but it be great to get any thoughts and insights if anyone has experience with this!
