Brushes for stiffener
Hello everyone!
I have tried so many brushes for the chemical hat stiffener. They go rock hard or lose bristles onto the straw. Can anyone recommend brushes that work and where would I buy them in Australia?

Hi Jodie, Easy solution is to buy paint thinners from Mitre10 or Bunnings Hardware to place the brush in after use and it will be soft next time. I have gone through a few brushes but have always been from paint Dept of hardware store. As I used a fume cupboard and gloved hands go under the clear perspex window my brushes always had the longest handles.

I use the thinners in the solvent based stiffener @ 50/50 when stiffening under brim of felt hat to reduce the whitening residue.
