The current Profile Magazine features Hat Academy milliner & teacher, Elaine Mergard.

Although a trained teacher she has also been a Milliner for 40+ yrs and now continues to teach & mentor so many around the world. In the interview she is asked what are the two main skills for a prospective milliner.

"Firstly, you need patience because milliners do a lot of hand work. Secondly, it’s important to have an eye for detail because if you’re going to make something unique you have to have very specific details.”
