Start where you think best but the new students who start with first lesson are grasping the basics quickly and then advancing. It is thrilling for me to see the results especially with Beginners - take it one step at a time.
Thank you chineva early! My mother taught me the basic hat making skills. After that I started experimenting with the materials, and tried different things. I always checked out other milliners work, and tried what they did with great success! If you understand how to work with the material, practice makes perfect!

The fabric covered dome crowns are currently very popular with current fashion trends. Some people do not double the buckram but to ensure a good life with the hat it is well worth it. To hand stitch you will need a thimble!
Using fabric opens up new possibilities as there is more fabric in the world than straw Enjoy
