I Love Hats Because?: They are the finishing touch to any outfit and make the wearer feel very glamorous and special, standing out in a crowd. Hats and fascinators are the crowning glory, the icing on the cake. They can make your dress, suit, come alive!!

About Me: I started my millinery career recently as I have always sold hats and fascinators, locally in my area of Hale Barns, Altrincham. Known as the "hat lady", I then began offering a service to customise headpieces using feathers, pearls, flowers, so that it matched a clients outfit perfectly.
I then decided to improve my skills, by looking into millinery and taking some courses. I now create and design Crinoline Fascinators for customers in and around the area. After a consultation with a client and seeing the colours of their outfit, we discuss design, style, size and materials to use, such as textures, lace, flowers, feathers. Each piece I create is different from the last. I love using my creative skills in using crinoline which I find can be manipulated into wonderful shapes and designs. These can be made into large or smaller designs to suit each clients requirements. Mi decorate using flowers, feathers, lace, textures.
I still offer a customising service so that a ready made felt hat, or sinamay piece is made into something more special using the colours of my clients outfit.
I want to take more courses to expand my millinery knowledge further.
