I've gotten decent results, but I'm so picky, I want it to be perfect.I know that pre-bought brims are also available. Plus there are thermoplastics. I haven't used any of those…See More

Kristin Silverman replied to Tanya Anderson's discussion Selling hats on Esty?
"I sell on Etsy. I'm currently looking to move my business away to my own website, but I will still keep a store on Etsy. The only upfront cost is $0.20 (US) to list one item for four months. So that's pretty cheap as a way to get found! I…"

"I do make flat caps and do use the plastic compressed foam.  They are easy to sew on and do make the caps look professional.  They are thin enough to cut down to fit the cap I am working on.   Linda"

"That all totally makes sense, thanks! At some point, I think I'd like to get the full bundle, even though I'm not an absolute beginner because I'm sure I could still find value in even the early lessons. :) "

I Love Hats Because?
They're gorgeous and fun. Wearing a hat is a great way to have vintage style without being costume-y. Just a change of hat can switch up your entire look. And they're so collectable.
About Me
In addition to being a milliner, I have also been a graphic designer and a makeup artist. I have loved hats for a long time. When I started making hats, things just "clicked" and I feel like I found my calling.
