I am seriously thinking of entering this hat into my fashion competition, the focus being on a recycled design, so I think I will use the rest of the fabric on a matching dress! Sorry ladies, it does look like this will indeed be a one off hat after all!

The good thing about this skirt is that I actually have enough material in it for three more hats. I will definitely be making some bows and ruffles.to put on those from the fabulous silk Abaca lessons. I really love learning millinery techniques online as the nearest Tafe class is over 100 km away from me, it's on at night, and I'm in rural Queensland, so I wouldn't really feel safe driving to it alone! Thank goodness for online classes!
