They can be the ultimate expression of an individuals personality.
About Me
I am a self taught milliner. When I decided to learn the craft of millinery, I studied vintage designs and shop training manuals from the 1920s. I had been designing clothing for over 30 years, so making hat patterns and designing hats came naturally. It seemed a logical extension of clothing design to complete a look.
I am one of those individuals who has a burning need to create and design. I find that there is nothing more satisfying than bringing my own visions to life. Today, I design and create whatever is driving me at that moment in time. I like to work with a variety of media and each project becomes an adventure to me.
I am glad you are enjoying Millinery so much. Great to see you add the hats to RSS feed. You have an eye for detail.Looking forward to sharing some exciting ways to create flowers from silk and leather all dyed with tonal colours in new lessons.
