Hi All,

I'm looking at doing the Facinator Course as I'm interested in learning the art of millinery & Facinators in particular interest me the most.

I'm a beginner & want to make sure that this course will provide me with the basics as I've had no formal training in Millinery?

Also I noticed that there is a recomended Course Bundle to purchase, does it include any hat bloacks that may be required?

If anyone has completed the course & has any tips or recomendations please feel free to reply.

Appreciate any suggestions.

Kind Regards,

Mel Pasco

Hi Mel,

Wonderful you are wanting to learn these millinery skills. You will love millinery as it is so creative. Our Fascinator Course is suitable for a beginner as we have included some of the basic lessons from the Beginner Course. In the Fascinator Course we give you at no cost Lesson 1 as this teaches the basics on blocking and wiring.

Trims are either loops, bows, feathers and flowers and all these trims are included. Learn these basics then you can venture onto pillboxes and hatinators and hats. The advantage of online learning is that you can recap on the lessons as you need to and whenever you need to fit in with your lifestyle. http://hatacademy.com/video/hat-academy-block-bias-basics

For the Fascinator Course a small button or Cocktail block is all that is needed. pdf patterns are included in the Headpiece and Flower lesson.

Scroll down on this page for blocks from Blocks by Design http://www.hatblocksbydesign.com.au/hat-academy

Once you start the Course you just connect with me by message in HatAcademy, regarding any small question you may have as I am committed to helping you.

Look forward to sharing with you http://hatacademy.com/profile/ElaineMergard

Thanks very much Elaine.

I've ordered the suplies required from House of Adorn. Hopefully that should give me the right equipment to get through the classes.

Can't wait to start, will be in touch for any assistance I may require.

Kind Regards,

Mel

The lessons are wonderful, easy to follow and very detailed. I can't wait to see how you go!
