‘Mind Your Bonce' milliner Karen Geraghty of UK decided to enter the Milliners of Etsy competition with the style she loves mostly – the cocktail hat. The Hardwear challenge involved making a hat primarily from products from a hardware store using traditional millinery techniques. Items such as rope, nails, foam knee pad, chamois, screening were used by many but Karen chose to use garden wire, wood filler, acrylic and shoe polish to mould this ‘Woodland' cocktail hat. The outcome is this beautiful timber textured look with carved leaves as the featured trim. We celebrate your imagination & ingenuity Karen.
