I Love Hats Because?: I am originally an interdisciplinary artist and sculptor from Istanbul, and I am based in Glasgow for 13 years. I discovered my love for making hats (under the title Otherscapes) while experimenting with 'space' as a context and the concept of 'Heteretopia' in my art practice. Working with different materials and processes have always fascinated me and I found my passion which I long lost, in fusing my sculpting methods with traditional millinery skills. I now feel I am ready to give up my professional art practice for the love of hat making. I also work with miniature dioramas and scale works which I use as an important aspect of my millinery work. Last but not least, these processes help my mental health and wellbeing as I am a parent of a child with autism and epilepsy.

About Me: I'm an artist working with speculative fiction to create objects, spaces and films as well as sculptural headwear and footwear under the title OTHERSCAPES.
