This headpiece was one I've had in my sketch book for a long time. Taking my demon horns and infusing it with a peacock. All my feathers were lovingly donated by a local peacock caretaker and are steamed, cleaned, and wiped with tea tree oil.

The hat is created by blocking 2 layers of black buckram over a balsa block. Once dry the shape of the hat is drawn and cut from the material. Millinery wire is sewn to the base to help keep the shape and for extra sturdiness. My beautiful horns are foam created and painted in 2 base coats before being layered with 12 different glitters in various shades to recreate the peacock hue. In between each passing of glitter a clear coat is painted to help keep the glitter from falling off. Once done the horns are hand sewn to the base and covered with peacock wing feathers.

Each feather was individually cleaned and trimmed to fit perfectly on the hat. It's one of a kind and perfect for standing out at any costume soiree.

Hat stays one with elastic that slips behind the head and has 2 loops for pinning.
